Raducanu advanced to round three in three Grand Slam tournaments Grand Slam events in the current campaign.

Emma Raducanu from Great Britain has pulled out of her remaining competitions in 2025 because of a medical condition that has affected her in recent days.

Raducanu, aged 22 was due to play in tournaments in Tokyo and Hong Kong but chose to travel back to rest and recuperate ahead of launching her preparations for 2026.

Her upcoming training will involve trainer Francisco Roig, as the pair have decided to continue collaborating again next season.

Raducanu underwent blood pressure monitoring while playing the initial match versus Ann Li in Wuhan last week and withdrew when behind 6-1 4-1 on a very muggy occasion.

Another medical visit was necessary a doctor's assessment at this week's Ningbo Open, where she fell in a three-set match to local wildcard Zhu Lin in the first round.

Her movement was noticeably restricted in the final set in the match with Zhu owing to a lower back issue that has been a concern during parts of the season.

Those results followed a positive campaign, in which the player advanced into the top 30 globally after more than three years since her previous ranking, concluded with three straight losses.

Raducanu had three match points prior to falling to Pegula in round three in the Beijing tournament last month.

Raducanu won 28 victories this year and advanced to the semis in Washington, but the highlight of her season was at the Miami event in March.

As Britain's top player advanced to the quarters of a premier WTA event, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed during the tournament then falling in three sets to fourth-ranked Pegula.

Her coach was trainer Mark Petchey from Miami until Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role for the US Open.

The first plan with Rafael Nadal's former coach was for the remainder of the year but the collaboration persists, with a training session scheduled in the coming months.

She mentioned that her three-day trial alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "black ops mission" as they aimed to maintain secrecy.

The player was close to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at their initial event as a team in Cincinnati during August.

Roig joined her in New York, where she advanced to round three then falling to 2022 Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
