Canada's skeleton athletes have been absolved of accusations that they deliberately manipulated a selection race for the Winter Olympics, which allegedly denied rival athletes a chance to secure their place.

“Existing federation regulations allow member nations to withdraw athletes from an event at any time,” declared the governing body.
After reviewing the matter, the IBSF stated it would take no action, rejecting the allegations as there was no breach of its code.
In response, Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton defended the decision, citing competitor health and the need for rest. The organization stated that some athletes had already raced multiple times that week and the move was “correct, transparent and aligned with both their well-being and the integrity of the sport.”
Representatives of the US, Denmark, Israel, and Malta had previously expressed “deep worry” about the selection system's integrity.
The 41-year-old athlete, the 2026 Olympics are planned to be her final Games. Her path to qualification remains, the likely US team spots are projected for Kelly Curtis and Mystique Ro. She is a 2012 world gold medalist whose closest Olympic finish was just off the podium in 2014.
